Here we go, my first ever beauty blog… I can’t even wrap my head around the fact that I get asked so many questions in regard to my beauty routine, but I’m extremely excited to start sharing with you all what I do for my skin and when I do it. I want to do so in the best way I possibly can and help you educate yourself just like I had to. In order for me to do that I have to take you back to one of my day ones. It all started for me after meeting my skin angel savior, Shani Darden. She truly is a savior because truthfully before her, I got all my “know how’s” from magazines or online. Simply experimenting in the hopes of finding what works for me. I am sure a lot of you can relate to that!
I was a sucker for trying everything that came my way, nowadays there are so many opinions fighting with each other… One of the first things I remember feeling upon meeting her, Shani has a very special and calming mentality to her. She just opened her first spa and when I went to the opening the whole vibe was Shani, if that makes sense.
If you’re ever in LA, you should definitely stop by and check it out! Once I got to know her and started going to her for my monthly skin treatments, my skin started changing and she was teaching my how and why. The first thing she taught me was that “less is more”.
That is her motto and now it’s also mine. She taught me about the products that work for my skin and the ones that didn’t. I was using products that were doing the opposite for my skin instead of what I taught it was doing. Products that were clogging my pores leading to continuous breakouts. Then, products to cover those breakouts etc, all of this just to feel comfortable in my own skin. Prior to Shani, I had heard of retinol, but I was afraid of using it because I thought it was way too strong for me to use at home with my routine. She showed me that her formula for retinol is much gentler than others. Retinol Reform by Shani Darden changed my skin for the better. It helped with my blemishes, uneven skin tone and dullness. You can gradually build resilience for it if you have sensitive skin… Not only does it work on sensitive skin without the drying effects of many other retinol products, it also helps boost collagen, improves cell turnover, uneven skin tone, blemishes and it helps with fine lines and wrinkles. I don’t think I need to mention anything else after that. ;)
For me this is an ESSENTIAL to add to your daily beauty regimen if you’re trying to get that youthful, glowing and healthy-looking skin. Trust me when I say it is worth adding this product to your bathroom counter, your skin will thank you for a long time coming. I decided to start sharing my first beauty blog with a product that was a game changer for me. This is definitely one of my few key products that I can’t live without. I want you to know, that no matter when you start taking care of your skin, it’s never too late!! Now that you guys have gotten my first #shivasessential, we can start building from here but first, let’s do a giveaway to celebrate my first beauty blog. I will be giving away 1 bottle of the Retinol Reform by Shani Darden to one lucky winner who shares this blog with their friends. The winner will be announced in next week’s blogpost!
